1. Launching a Campaign in Leadbird
Log into Leadbird:
Access the Leadbird app and navigate to the Campaigns section.
Click on "Launch Campaign".
Campaign Naming:
Give the campaign a clear, descriptive name that includes the launch date and type. For example, “Leadbird Test Campaign, October 31.”
Proper naming conventions will help in future data analysis and organization.
Select Lead List Type:
Choose Apollo as the lead list source.
Log into Apollo:
If needed, create a free account in Apollo (no paid account required for targeting).
Set Up Targeting Filters:
Navigate to targeting settings and apply the following filters:
Job Titles: Owner, Founder, CEO
Location: United States
Employee Count: 11-50
Industry: PR and Communication
Ensure at least the above fields are selected to meet the minimum targeting requirements.
Save and Copy Targeting URL:
After setting up filters, copy the Apollo search URL.
Paste into Leadbird:
Return to the Leadbird app and paste the Apollo search URL into the Lead Search Link field.
Click Next to proceed.
Input Email Copy:
Paste the email copy provided by the Customer Success Managers (CSMs).
For best results, we recommend a two-step sequence; however, a one-step sequence can be used if necessary.
Review Copy:
Ensure the email content is accurate, compelling, and follows any client-specific guidelines.
Proceed to Launch:
After verifying email content, click Next and then Launch.
Lead Scraping and Verification:
The system will automatically:
Pull leads matching the Apollo targeting criteria.
Verify lead email addresses, flagging and replacing invalid emails through a waterfall enrichmentprocess using 9 different databases.
Company Name Formatting:
The system will format company names to remove irrelevant designations (e.g., “LLC,” “Enterprises”) to maintain a professional appearance in emails.
Personalization:
Quicklines will be added to personalize the emails where appropriate.
Campaign Setup:
The system will draft the campaign with:
The lead list and other targeting criteria.
Provided email copy.
All assigned inboxes and predefined settings.
Review Draft:
Review the campaign draft in Leadbird.
Ensure settings are correct (e.g., sending schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Central Time).
Send Test Email (Optional):
To preview the email, click Send Test Email and enter your email address to receive a sample.
Email Notifications:
Upon launching the campaign:
You’ll receive a confirmation email with details of the campaign criteria.
Once the campaign is fully set up, a notification email will confirm it’s ready for review.
Positive Response Alerts:
The Leadbird system will monitor responses in the master inbox.
When a positive reply is detected, you’ll receive an email notification, allowing you to continue the conversation directly from your inbox.
Campaign Review:
Log in to Leadbird to review the finalized campaign, including lead data and sequence settings.
Activate Campaign:
If everything appears correct, click Launch Campaign to go live.
The campaign will begin sending within 30 minutes if it’s within the designated sending timeframe.
