In this guide, we want to cover HOW to reply and WHY you should not send a calendar link to the Meeting-Ready-Lead
Let's take two scenarios and identify the path with the least friction:
Scenario 1
Lead shows interest and provides a time and date they’re available.
You manually send them a calendar invite for the time that they suggested.
You send them a confirmation email along the lines of “Hey [first-name], I went ahead and sent a calendar invite for [time]. I’m looking forward to speaking”.
Scenario 2
Lead shows interest and provides a time and date they’re available
You reply to them saying “Hey 👋 use my calendar below. Calendly.com”
Now the lead sees the email and opens the calendar link.
The lead opens their calendar to identify a time that works for him and you.
The lead selects the time.
The lead starts to enter their information in the calendar.
The lead enters their first name.
The lead enters their email.
The lead enters their phone number.
The lead clicks submit.
After examining both scenarios, which scenario provides more friction for the lead? They WANT to speak with you - don’t make it harder for them by creating unnecessary friction.
💡 Your appointment set rate with the Meeting-Ready-Leads that we submit should be no lower than 90%.
